Master Instructor Hing Fai Chan (Sam Chan)

Sam Chan (Hing Fai Chan) began his martial arts training at the young age of 8 years old in his native Hong Kong , China. In 1975 Sifu Chan moved to the United States and Subsequently started Teaching Chinese Martial arts in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sifu Chan has spent Many years studying Wing Chun under Ip Man's two son's Grandmasters Ip Ching and Ip Chun and was a founding member and former director of the United States Ip Ching Wing Chun Athletic Association. In addition to being a permanent member and recognized instructor of the Wing Chun Athletic Association in Hong Kong. In 1996 Sifu Chan was recognized by Grandmaster Ip Ching for his Outstanding commitment to passing on Ip Man Lineage Wing Chun as well as his superior teaching skills and was awarded the title of Master Instructor.

Master Chan has authored one of the Premier books on the Ving Tsun Muk Yahn Jong (Wooden Man Post) and has produced a number of Dvd's in an effort to promote Ip Man Lineage Wing Chun Kuen. Master Chan has established and serves as the Director of The International Wing Chun Martial arts association which is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Traditional Ip Man Lineage Wing Chun headquartered in at the school he owns and operates in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Master Chan's school has over 10,000 Sq. feet of training area which includes a Wooden Dummy Room, two training rooms, a fully padded Full Contact fighting hall in addition to a tea room and Meditation room. In addition to a life of Martial Studies in Wing Chun Kuen , Master Chan is highly sought after for his expertise as a direct Lineage Bearer in the Martial art of Jow Ga as well as his skill at Tai Chi Chaun.
